New Computer Setup

Service Description

Take the frustration out of setting up your new computer. We help get your new desktop or laptop ready to use, including initial setup, system configuration, device connections, and compatible peripherals. We can help connect monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, webcams, speakers, and other accessories, as well as configure your existing home network and transfer appropriate personal files from an existing computer when requested. We'll explain the setup process in plain language and help make sure you understand your new equipment before we leave. If additional equipment, cables, adapters, software, hardware, or upgrades may be needed, we'll explain the options before any additional purchase or work. Service rate: $159/hour with a 1-hour minimum. Additional time is billed at $159/hour and may be billed in 30-minute increments after the first hour. Most appointments take approximately 1–2 hours, depending on the computer, peripherals, file-transfer requirements, and work required. More extensive setups may require additional time. Additional equipment, hardware, software, or upgrades are not included in the service rate. No additional work or purchases will be made without your approval. DuPage Home Tech does not bypass manufacturer, employer, or software security controls. Employer-owned computers and corporate systems remain subject to the customer's employer policies and IT requirements.
